JOHN HARRIS

John is a widely experienced CTO with over 26 years experience with both FTSE and Small / Medium Enterprises. He is currently CTO for Global Talent, a technology services company headquartered in Kiev Ukraine providing innovative software and data solutions for a wide range of clients. He is also technology advisor to a number of technology focussed startups, particularly in the healthcare and life sciences space. 

From 2017 to 2020, John was Chief Technology Officer at Mundipharma where he drove a series of digital initiatives that transformed selling and customer engagement processes across the commercial organisation. Prior to this role, John was responsible for building and delivering technology products in his role as the Global CTO of Aimia Inc, a global loyalty company that provided services such as Nectar and the Air Canada frequent flyer programme.  Before joining Aimia, John worked at Glaxo SmithKline for 18 years in a number of positions of increasing responsibility in both infrastructure and applications services teams. When he left GSK in 2012, John was the Chief Architect and Vice President of global IT strategy, innovation and learning. John also sits on a number of advisory boards guiding organisations to achieve optimal outcomes from their investments in technology.

John is a recognised cloud computing expert and has driven numerous cloud based digital transformations, SAAS, PAAS and IAAS migrations during his extensive career and is currently actively involved in building out cloud services for a number of GT clients. He has also been an active member of advisory boards for major cloud providers including Cisco’s Global Customer Advisory Board and UK advisory boards for VMWare, Oracle and DXC providing a customer perspective to their cloud services.

John has a strong network of technology leaders and has a deep understanding not only of cloud computing projects he has delivered himself, but also of the experiences of his peers on their cloud journeys. He is a recognised expert who can provide in depth advice and insight on all aspects of cloud computing backed up by real use cases and learnings.
