Meet Our Team.
Unique expertise, global experience.
Executive Change was founded 20 years ago by seasoned technology leaders with extensive professional histories across multiple sectors. Their combined experience, interpreting multi-national business strategies into global IT requirements, with direct board responsibility for budgets, led to the vision that informs all our services.
Executive Change advisory boards are individually curated from our international network of members, typically CIOs and CTOs, all expert C-suite buyers. While a small fee for their services is donated to a charity of their choice, our members are not paid.
Each member combines a rare experience of changing enterprise value, coupled with a passion for technological innovation. They commit to our network and their ongoing work with our clients for the community, the continuous challenges, and the new learnings that Executive Change provides.

Aidan has had a thirty-year career in technology, serving as CIO at BP, and Group CIO at Network Rail and then Johnson Matthey. He has managed very large global teams with multi-$100m+ budgets across a variety of sectors and companies, mostly private enterprise but also public sector. He is intimately familiar with the intricacies of how tech delivers value, and the business of running constantly evolving technology functions - from organisational restructuring and cultural change, to integration of cutting edge tech into sprawling legacy estates and ways of working. He understands organisational politics from the Board down, and how this both hinders and provides opportunity for tech-driven change.
Career examples include: Aidan built the team and led the digital transformation of world's second largest oilfield (Rumaila, Iraq), from telecoms in the ground through to visualisation and fully digitalised operations; net initial benefit of ~$750m pa, which has grown over time as ways of working have become more deeply embedded. Aidan led the Network Rail Covid response, and was credited as playing the single biggest role in keeping the UK's rail network running in the early weeks of the pandemic. Also at Network Rail he drove through adoption of AI and developed applications for many purposes, one example being transformed management of the 21000-mile rail corridor environment. Early in his career Aidan was the first in the world to move broadcasting from it's bespoke, traditional structure, to becoming a network platform.
Aidan is in demand as a speaker on technology driven business change, and the art of just how do companies adapt, embrace and create new value.
